A PURPOSEFUL APPROACH

Our economy is now driven by a generation that is technically oriented in every aspect of life. As a result, looking for a technological solution is almost an automatic response to any situation.

IT today is seen simply as a means to an end, not a goal in itself. As the workforce has embraced technology, business need drives IT advances in companies today rather than the IT department keeping management informed of advances that may be advantageous to the firm. Understanding  these sociological, economic and technological forces forms the driving business force behind IQT2’s goal of making IT work the way people work.

Uniqueness

Our corporate uniqueness derives from our primary focus: To glorify God in all we do. As such, we have selected to have a “Purpose Driven” business model based on the principles Rick Warren described in building The Purpose Driven Church.

To define this approach, we have borrowed the key points of approach from Rick Karlgaard’s 2004 commentary on Forbes.com. Karlgaard declares Warren’s book to be “the best book on entrepreneurship, business and investment that I've read in some time.” The Purpose-Driven Church has sold more than 1 million copies and its sequel, The Purpose-Driven Life, has sold 12 million copies. Karlgaard states, “Whatever you think about Warren or his religious beliefs, he has discerned a consumer need out there.”

Our Purpose Driven Guidelines

Purpose not only defines what our business should do, it defines what we shouldn't do. "The secret to effectiveness is to know what really counts. Then do what really counts" (Warren).

“Nothing should precede the purpose of your business. Only purpose lasts” (Karlgaard). "Nothing will revive a discouraged [business] faster than rediscovering its purpose" (adapted from Warren).

Compete with non-consumption. Offer partners something they cannot get anywhere else. For IQT2, this is a personal commitment to our partners’ success.

Dedication won't overcome lack of skill and technology. To maintain our competitive edge, we must continually be learning.
